The Paper Crane Foundation is a movement designed to help others heal from all types of trauma, physical and mental. We are funded by people like you who want to help. We are independent of any political ideology, particular religion or economic interest and our focus is on those that need help and resources to heal. We believe no situation is beyond hope!
Our Story
Throughout history and cultures across the globe, the crane has symbolized good fortune, longevity and happiness. The Japanese refer to the crane as a “bird of happiness.” It was believed if someone folded 1000 origami cranes, that person’s wish would come true. The crane has become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times.
